One of my favorite things about being a photographer is realizing how small this world is and how closely connected with people we can be without knowing it. When I opened the door to this beautiful couple I immediately recognized John as a fellow band member from the Tevis Junior High Rangers! How is it that sometimes we can go almost 12 years without seeing someone when Bakersfield is so small? :) These two have been so much fun and we are looking forward to filming their wedding invitation today! I am beyond excited to announce that Roots Photography is now offering video sessions for our clients. Watching how quickly my children change and how our lives change almost monthly, I found it extremely important to document our lives. This is when I began to be interested in photography. During photo shoots, there is so much happening and going on. It isn't completely captured in photography. This is where the video comes in.
We are going to be offering these video sessions for a low introductory rate so don't miss out on this opportunity. Video sessions don't have to be just family photo shoots. Think of those important events in life that you would like to remember. Birth of a baby, a birthday party, an anniversary party, a family reunion, etc.
I met with Staci Woodward and we talked about how their family just loves to play and have a good time. We thought it would be really fun to capture their lives during an outdoor picnic and then just playing outdoors. We went to a local park and when we arrived the weather was UGLY! The wind was blowing insanely hard and it didn't look promising for a photo shoot at all. We kept a good attitude and carried on. Staci set up this creative and gorgeous table scape with very yummy food. I didn't realize how challenging it would be to grab photos while people are eating; but yes, that is hard to do! :) We... ok, maybe they, cleaned up the table and we headed down to the river front where they skipped rocks and were just doing what the Woodwards do best, have fun! We ended the day with dancing in the last few minutes of sunlight. I have included a few photos of the session; however, scroll down to the bottom for the video! Enjoy!!

THE PICTURES OF MY SITESR'S FAMILY (MITCHELL) ARE SPECTACULAR! VERY BEAUTIFUL COLORS AND I LOVED HOW EVERYONE MATCHED SO WELL! SEEING THOSE PICTURES MAKES ME MISS THEM SO MUCH. CANT' WAIT TO ORDER SOME AND PUT THEM AROUND MY HOME. - The pictures of my sitesr's family (Mitchell) are spectacular! Very beautiful colors and I loved how everyone matched so well! Seeing those pictures makes me miss them so much. Cant' wait to order some and put them around my home.
